Adding appointments to multiple personal calenders - Users - How do I? | Google Groups: "Sounds like the workaround you're seeking would be to create multiple
resource calendars. Using the example of having a room and a projector
as resources, I would do the following:
1. Create a calendar for 'Room 1.'
2. Turn your 'Room 1' calendar into a resource calendar.
3. Create a calendar for 'Projector 1.'
4. Turn the 'Projector 1' calendar into a resource calendar.
5. Add other rooms, projectors, or shared spaces as individual
calendars.
6. Share the resource calendars with your co-workers or anyone else
who should have access.
Once you set these calendars to 'Auto-accept invitations that do not
conflict' you'll be able to invite them to events (as guests) using
the calendar's email addresses. This will effectively schedule these
resources for the time frame of your event.
For specific details about turning calendars into resource calendars,
please see my post at http://groups.google.com/group/google-calendar-help-howto/msg/ef54dc7...
Hopefully this helps you achieve the desired result.
Best,
Becky"

I personally did not find this an easy concept. It seems to me that the easiest way to do this is to make each resource an actual user. Otherwise, when you type in the calendar name, it doesn't autosuggest - for me anyway. The only way I could do it, short of making resources users, was to copy the private address of the resource calendar and paste that into the guest list. That would work except for the fact that the name was not very descriptive. I'll work more on this one.
